The New Covenant was prophesized of in Jeremiah 31:31 and following. This new covenant was not going to be the same kind of temporary, conditional covenant God made with Israel, which they broke. This would be an unconditional covenant written in the tablets of their hearts, not on tablets of stone. The Old Covenant was glorious indeed, but the New Covenant was much more glorious and is forever.
